Thomas Freeborn Bundy

Thomas Freeborn Bundy was born on November 18, 1897, in Elmira, New York, to Lottie Belle Causer, age 23, and Albert Bundy, age 23.

He was graduated in 1926 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an architectural engineer. In 1933 he joined the E. F. Hauserman Company of Cleveland, Ohio. That same year he was married to Mary M. Regetz of Rome, N. Y.

In Rye his family lived at 5 Mendota Avenue and were members of Christ Church. Thomas served as a commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Lieut. Thomas F. Bundy, U. S. N. R. , and Mrs. Bundy have sold their property on North Street and are moving this week to 5 Mendota Avenue.

Lieut. Thomas F. Bundy, U. S. N. R. , of Mendota Avenue, will be in Washington during the next month. Tomorrow Mrs. Bundy and their -small son, Peter, will join him and remain in Washington over Easter.

After the war, Thomas was manager of the New York office of E. F. Hauserman Co. He was a member of Christ’s Church, the Apawamis Club and the Onteora Club in Tannersville, NY.

Thomas Freeborn Bundy, a resident of Sunnyridge, Harrison and Onteora Park, Tannersville, N. Y. for many years, died Friday May 1, 1969 at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

Funeral services were conducted in St. James Church in New York by Dr. Wendell Phillips, rector of Christ’s Church, Rye.

In addition to his wife, he was survived by a son, Thomas F. Bundy, Jr., of Hampton Park, N. J. and a sister, Mrs. Norman Butterfield.
