Alan Mawson Lincoln was born on October 23, 1923, in Mount Vernon, New York to Elizabeth M. Shoemaker, age 23, and Alan Mawson Lincoln, age 35. In Rye his family lived at 180 Locust Avenue.

Allan attended Rye Country Day School and was a graduate of Hotchkiss School Lakeville, Conn. in 1941 and of Williams College in 1947. He was a 1949 graduate of Harvard Business School.
Allan married Betty Jane DuBois on October 3, 1943, in Pelham Manor, New York. The wedding was held at the DuBois home with the Rev. Francis O. Ayres of St. Margaret school, Waterbury, Conn., officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Wlllard P. Sober, pastor of Huguenot Memorial church. The couple had two children during their marriage.
Allen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in the Army from Feb. 3, 1943 until he was discharged Jan. 12, 1946., He was a first sergeant in the 310th Infantry Regiment of the 78th Division. He saw combat service in the Ardennes, the Rhineland and Central Europe. Allan received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
After the war, Allan was a financial consultant in the money market with Lafferty, Harwood Inc 20 Exchange Place, New York,
Alan Mawson Lincoln Jr., 48, of 130 Theodore Fremd Ave., Rye, died Friday morning February 11, 1972 at United Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 1.
At the time of his death, He was survived by his wife Donna Lulean Bedell Lincoln, whom he married Feb, 2, 1970: a son and daughter by a previous marriage, James, Robinson Lincoln and Elizabeth Hoover Lincoln of Scottsdale, Arizona; a daughter, Jennifer Lulean Lincoln of the home address; two brothers, Thomas of Glen Ridge N.J. John of Hanover, N.H.; two sisters, Elizabeth Bowen of Wilton, Conn. and Jean Fish of Wilmington, Del. He was also survived by a former wife, Mrs. Betty Lincoln, of Scottsdale.
