Edward F. Donahue was born in New York January 30, 1923 to Thomas and Mary Balls Donahue. Thomas lived with his parents and 10 siblings (Mary, Veronica, Margaret, Doris, Eleanor, Thomas, Gloria, William, Vincetta and Daniel) on 37 Elm Place and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Edward enlisted May 1, 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was honorably discharged April 26,1946
