Harry E. Irvine

Harry E. Irvine was born in Greenwich, CT on July 19, 1917 to Harry and Charlotte Baird Irvine. He had a brother Lawrence and two sisters Marylin and Grace. In Rye his family lived at 24 Palisade Road.

Harry was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1936. In high school he played football and baseball. Before the war he was working for First National Stores in Rye.


He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Harry was honorably discharged in January 1946 and returned home to Rye

Announcement is made of the marriage Nov 13 1944 in Passaic N J of Miss Vivian D Wright daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wright of Passaic to Pfc Harry Irvine Army Air Force son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Irvine 50 Palisade Road, Rye. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride with the Rev Howard Schemer pastor of the Community Congregational Church Passaic officiating.


Harry Edward Irvine died in Riverside, CA on January 15, 2003, when he was 85 years old.
