Kenneth J MacHardy

Kenneth J MacHardy was born on May 5, 1927, in Rye, New York, to Helen Smith Machardy, age 23, and John Alexander MacHardy, age 26. In Rye his family lived at 2 Preston St. Kenneth was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1944.

One of the most coveted honors, that of receiving The Rye High Blazer went to Regina Callahan for the girls, and Kenneth MacHardy for the boys. This award is given for cooperation, reliability, and outstanding participation and achievement in athletics throughout their high school careers.

He enlisted in 1945 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He continued to serve in the military on June 3, 1948, reenlisting in the US Air Force when he was 21 years old. He stayed in service during Korea and throughout the 1950's.

Kenneth J MacHardy died on November 17, 1996, in Reno, Nevada, at the age of 69.
