Ralph Langstaff Crow Jr. was born on May 10, 1914, in Rye, New York, to Ella Wilson McClenahan, age 32, and Ralph Langstaff Crow, age 35. He had one brother William and two sisters, Eleanor and Alethia.

In Rye his family lived on Mohawk Street and were members of Christ’s Church. Ralph attended Hotchkiss School and Princeton University where ha was a member of Cap and Gown. He was a member of the Apawamis Club.

He married Miss Barbara Godwin,
daughter of Mrs. Philander H. Godwin of Highland Road, February 12, 1942 in Rye. The couple would have three daughters

Ralph served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II. He rose to the rank of major and served two and half years in the European Theatre.

Crow Returns on Queen Mary
Major Ralph L, Crow, Jr. , returned last week on the S. S. Queen Mary from England. He has been overseas two and a half years, Mrs. Crow and their little daughter, Carol, have a house on Mohawk Street.

After the war Ralph returned to Rye and was a very successful businessman. He owned and operated for many years his own construction company William L. Crow Construction, Co. He served at on time as the president of the Metropolitan Builders Association.

Ralph L Crow died on January 3, 1980, in Bridgewater, Connecticut, when he was 65 years old.
