Salvatore J. Ebetino

Salvatore Joseph Ebetino was born on October 20, 1925, in Port Chester, New York, to Enrichetta (Henrietta) Schiro, age 25, and Frederick (Frank) Ebetino, age 24. In Rye his family lived at 17 W Purdy Ave and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Salvatore was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1943.

He enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Savatore served in Italy with the 451st Bomber Group, 15th Army Air Force.

After the war Salvatore was a Supervisor at K-Mart Distribution Center for 27 years, retiring in 1991.

SALVATORE JOSEPH EBETINO, 81, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Rosemary Kathleen (Kintz) Ebetino; daughters, Mary Ann (David) Weikel of Harlan and Rosalie Kay Sorg of Fort Wayne; sons, Frank J. (Violeta) Ebetino, Bernard V. (Patricia) Ebetino and Thomas D. Ebetino, all of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank, John and Charles; and one sister, Ann Geyer. He was preceded in death by one grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, in New Haven.
