Frank A Gaynor was born on October 20, 1921, in Rye, New York, to Ethel M Murray and Frank A Gaynor. In Rye his family lived at 24 Belleview Ave.

Frank attended Harrison
High School 1934-38 and Yale University, 1938-42, graduating with a
degree in Electrical Engineering. He
was a member of the Tan Beta Pi fraternity, an Honor Society in Engineering.

Frank served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served as a Naval aviator during the war and enlisted on July 5, 1944, when he was 22 years old. He was honorably discharged on May 4, 1946.

He married Elizabeth Loring Wirt daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Loring Wirth of Schenectady on June 19, 1948, in Schenectady, New York. The Rev. Dr. Kirby officiated and a reception was held at the Mohawk Country Club. They had three children during their marriage.

In Schenectady, Frank was associated with General Electric. He was a member of Yale Club of New York and Yale Engineer Club.

Frank A Gaynor died on June 14, 2004, at the age of 82, and was buried in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth and was survived by his three children, Frank A. III, Sallie Gaynor-Moyer, and Peter; he is also survived by 8 grandchildren and sister, Jacqueline Bohlender of Exton.
