Charles F. Hale
Charles F. Hale was born in Connecticut in 1902. He was a graduate of Worcester Academy and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a member of Sigma Zeta Kappa and was associated with the eastern representatives of the Van Sweringen interests of Cleveland.
Charles married Mildred A. Gill on July 11 in Westerly, R. I. In Rye his family lived at 43 Adelaide Street. Prior to entering the Army, Charles was industrial traffic manager in his own Interstate Commerce business, New York City.
Charles enlisted April 24, 1942 served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in Army supply and was a graduate of the Pacific Coast Transportation Corps Officers Training School at Camp Stoneman.

Camp Stoneman Calif. , August 10 Capt. Charles F. Hale of 43 Adelaide Street, Rye, was graduated Saturday, August 7, from the sixth class of the Pacific Coast Transportation Corps Officers Training School at Camp Stoneman, and received a diploma following graduation exercises at which Maj. Gen. William H. H. Morris, 2nd Armored Division, was the principal speaker. The two-month officer-refresher course offers complete basic training as well as presentation of the missions and functions of Army SupPly. His wife, Mrs. Mildred G. Hale, lives at the above address. Prior to entering the Army, April 24, 1942, Capt, Hale was industrial traffic manager, his own Interstate Commerce business, New York City. He is a graduate of Worcester Technical College.

After the war the 1950 census indicates Charles and Mildred owned a resort hotel in Ten Mile River CA. They moved throughout the United States and eventually ended up in the San Francisco area.
