Philip F Iorillo was born in Port Chester New York 13 Aug 1913 to Domenico and Michela Arraso Iarillo. In Rye his family lived at 49 High Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.
Philip served in the U.S. Army for over eleven years. During World War II he served In the African ,Sicilian and Italian campaigns gaining five battle stars. At one point Philip was stationed in Aversa, Italy as a military policeman guarding a large prisoner of war camp. It was in this town where he would meet his future wife Maria and they would have a daughter, Lorraine.
Philip worked for the City of Rye Department of Puplic Works and retired in 1979. He was a volunteer fireman and a member of the Rye Hunters Club.
