Andrew D. Karabetsos was born May 25, 1916 in Chicago, IL to Mary Krupa and Dynisious Karabetsos. He was raised and educated in Chicago and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in January 1937. In Rye he lived with his uncle George Skouras on Rye Road. He was also emplyed in the family business Skouras Theatre Corp along with his cousin Spyros Skouras.

Andrew served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted April 8, 1941and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant from the Adjutant General’s School,
Fort Washington, Md.. George was assigned to Flight Control Command and discharged a Captain after over five years of service on May 11,1946.

Andrew D. Karabetsos died November 17, 1980 in New York City and is buried at Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island
