Nicholas Lapetina

Nicholas Lapetina was born November 11, 1915 in New York to Annie Coupland, age 19, and Francesco Lapetina, age 24. He had two brothers Frank and John and three sisters Margaret, Estelle and Anne. In Rye his family lived at 131 Purchase Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Nicholas enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted February 21, 1941 and would serve over four years being honorably discharged September 3,1945.

After the war, he worked locally as a house painter. Nicholas married Anne French June 10, 1946 at the Church of St. Gregory the Great in Harrison, NY. The couple would reside in Harrison and raise their family.

Nicholas Lapetina died November 18, 1998 and is buried at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
