Kenneth Alvin LeonardKenneth Alvin Leonard was born on November 15, 1908, in Kansas to Lillian Annette “Lilly” Sale, age 21, and Henry Phillip Leonard, age 25. He was raised and received his primary educatin in Rock Island, IL
Kenneth married Ailene H Montgomery on November 26, 1932, in Russell, Alabama. In Rye his family lived at 525 Milton Rd.
Kenneth served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea.
Col. Leonard was born in Kansas. He moved to Rock Island as an infant and received his education here. He served in the Army during World War II and also in the Officers Reserves.
Col. Leonard had lived in Rye, N.Y., and was employed by the New York Telephone Co., retiring in 1969.
Col. Kenneth A. Leonard, 68, St. Simons Island, Ga., formerly of Rock Island, IL died Nov. 14, 1977 in a hospital in Brunswick, Ga. Services and burial took place on St. Simons Island.
Survivors include the widow, Ailene, two sons, two grandchildren ; a brother, Richard, Milan, and a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Huff, Molin.
