Henry Cooper NieldsHenry Cooper Nields was born in New York, NY on September 27, 1924 he was the son of the late Benjamin and Hazel (Whitelaw) Nields. He had two bothers Benjamin and John and one sister Barbara. In Rye his family lived at 145 Milton Road and were members of Christ’s Church.
Raised and educated in Rye and Cleveland, Ohio. Henry graduated from Yale University B.A. in the AS/V-12 program and later Yale Law School M.A.. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. .
He married Olivia and they soon settled in Cambridge, Ma. In 1955 they relocated to Concord. Henry worked for High Voltage Engineering Co. and then as a Patent Attorney at Nields , Lemack & Dingman Law Office. He was active in both the Concord Orchestra and Concord Chorus.
Henry Cooper Nields age 88 of Concord passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. He was the husband of the late Olivia (Marshall) Nields. B
He is survived by his children Nancy N. Gordon and her husband Michael of Groton and Henry M. Nields and his wife Liz of Carlisle and his grandsons Peter M. Nields and his wife Emily of Manlius NY and David C. Nields of Carlisle.
Services were held in the Chapel at Trinity Episcopal Church, Concord. Interment followed with full U.S. Navy Military Honors at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
