John P. Thomson
John P. Thomson was born July 20, 1922 in Rye, NY to John P. and Julie Walker Thomson. In Rye his family lived at 155 Oakland Beach Avenue and were members of the Presbyterian Church.
John enlisted in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. John proudly served in the U. S. Army as a radio specialist, and was a member of the American Legion in Larchmont.
He married Charlotte McKee May 17, 1946 at Rye Presbyterian Church. They had two children and settled in Mamaroneck and moved to Larchmont in 1979. John worked for a time as a Tree Surgeon and then as a contract specialist for UOP for over thirty years.
John P. Thomson, of Mamaroneck, passed away surrounded by his family on January 29, 2012 at age eighty-nine.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his cherished children Bonnie Lyn (Dennis) Cucinella of Mamaroneck and John Peter Thomson, Jr. of Hilton Head, SC; adoring grandchildren Dennis John (Lorraine Rodrigues) Cucinella of White Plains and Tara Lyn Cucinella of Brewster; and loving great-grandchildren Madison and Ryan. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Charlotte.
