Angelo F. Del Vecchio

Angelo F. Del Vecchio was born on March 22, 1909, son of Michael and Maria Gioseffi Del Vecchio. He had two brothers Michael and Thomas and two sisters Phyliss and Anne. In Rye his family lived at 382 Midland Ave and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Angelo enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

A retired employee of the Rye Recreation Department, Angelo was a lifelong resident of Rye. He attended Rye schools and was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection. He retired from the Recreation Department in 1969.

A funeral Mass was held at the Church of the Resurrection for Angelo F. Del Vecchio, 77, of 351 Midland Avenue, who died Saturday October 1, 1977 at United Hospital after a short illness. Interment was in St., Mary's Cemetery.

At the time of his death, survivors included his wife, the former Maria Sperduto of the home address; two brothers, Thomas A. DelVal of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Michael T DeVal of Rye two sisters, Mrs. Frank Matturro of Rye and Mrs. Gus Costas of Harrison, and several nieces and nephews.
