Aurelio Gioseffi
Aurelio Gioseffi was born in Bridgeport, CT July 18, 1917 to parents Ercole and Josephine Gioseffi. He had four brothers: Samuel, Ercole, Mike, and Nicholas. and in Rye his family lived at 28 High Street . Aurelio was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1937 where he played football. After graduation he was working at the Osborn Home in Rye.
He enlisted days before Pearl Harbor on November 28, 1941 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Aurelio would serve almost four years and be honorably discharged October 20, 1945.(See Discharge Record for Awards)
After the war Aurelio would marry and raise a family in San Francisco. Aurelio Gioseffi died December 14,1991 in San Matteo, CA.
