Cecil Calvert Evers was born on April 29, 1922, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Phyllis Maud Davies, age 24, and Arthur Robert Evers, age 28. Cecil attended Rye High School and in Rye his family lived at Highland Park.
Cecil enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. According to US Navy Muster Rolls he served on SS Sapelo AO-11, 31 Aug 1940 - 31 Dec 1943 and the USS Grouper SS-214 1 Jan 1945 - 1 Nov 1948

one of its kind conducted by the
Navy, is attended by a picked group
of men who must pass special physical, mental and psychological tests.

Cecil Calvert Evers died on May 30, 2011, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 89, and was buried at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
