Rye Boys In Armed Services Acknowledge Christmas Packages
Dear Friends: I have just received the Christmas box. You have no idea what a surprise it was and how very welcome. I am ashamed to say that I could not wait until December 25th. I just couldnt hold off. The cookies, candy and popcorn all disappeared in a terrible hurry when I passed them around to the crew. They all swear they are going to settle in Rye as they never heard of a town being so good to the men in the service. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to all.
