Charles T. Morison Jr.

Charles T. Morison Jr. was born September 30,1909 in New York City to Katherine DeVore and Charles T. Morison. He was raised and educated in New Rochelle, NY. Charles was a graduate of the New Rochelle High School and of the University of Pennsylvania.

He married Miss Eleanor Wright On September 11,1937. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert R. Hartley, minister of the church, officiating.

In 1937, Charles was a member of the Larchmont Shore Club and was associated in business with his father in New York City.

The couple would have two children during their marriage and in Rye the family lived at 15 Rye Beach Ave.

Charles enlisted October 21, 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. His service number was 42048658.

After his honorable discharge, he returned to his family in Rye and was working as a salesman for an electronic switch company. He would retire as manager of Minneapolis Honeywell Microswitch, Washington, D.C.

Charles retired to Hollywood, FL and in 1985 moved to Holly Hill, FL.

Charles T. Morison, 84, died Friday April 8, 1994 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.

At the time of his death, he was survived by a son, Charles, Bowie, Md.; a daughter, Donna Terrill, Sound Beach, N.Y.; two sisters, May Breese, and Kaye Dirlam, Sun City, Ariz.; and several grandchildren.
