Dominick T. ”Tim” Lalla

Dominick Lalla was born 5/12/1915 in Rye, New York, his father, Michael, was 34 and his mother, Theresa, was 30. He had five brothers and three sisters. Joseph, Gertrude, Frank, Peter, Antoinette, Bart and John. In Rye his family lived at 30 High Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Dominick was raised and educated in Rye. He married Lena Cicco on November 19, 1939, in Port Chester, New York. They had one child during their marriage.

Dominick enlisted 19 Jan 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged 9 Dec 1944

He was owner and operator of Purchase Street Taxi in Rye, NY with his two brothers. He retired in 1988 after 41 years. Dominick was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing.

At the time of his death he was survived by his son, Donald Lalla and wife Marilyn of White Plains, NY, brother, Bart Lalla of Rye, NY, granddaughter, Kristen Lalla and husband, Tony Cappa of White Plains, NY, also survived by his former wife Lena Cicco Lalla of Port Chester.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Frank, Peter and John Lalla, sisters, Gertrude Brandy and Antoinette Rock Cammarota.
