Hugh J. Greechan was born in New York in 1919. In Rye his family lived at 46 Park Ave and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Hugh enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

HUGH J. GREECHAN, 77 . . . bank officer MR. GREECHAN, 604 Greenfield Ave., Mount Dora, died Tuesday, April 1. He was a bank officer. Born in Mamaroneck, N.Y., he moved to Mount Dora from Umatilla In 1993. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora. He was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Retired Officers Association, the American Legion, past captain and warden of the Rye, N.Y., Fire Department, and a captain in the Air Force Reserve. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Alice; sons, Daniel V., Ossining, N.Y., Hugh J. Jr., Rye; daughters, Kathleen Roberts, Camp Lejeune, N.C., Rosemary Sexton, South Portland, Maine; brother, Harry, Denver; eight grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Umatilla.
