BIOGRAPHY
Pierre Van Norden was born in New York in 1926. In Rye his family lived at 11 Seneca. Pierre enlisted and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
PIERR E VAN NORDEN A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. today at the Rye Presbyterian Church for Pierre Van Norden, thirty, of 290 Grace Church Street, a sales representative for the Connecticut Boat Co.. Greenwich, who died Saturday in Kingsbridge Veterans' Hospital, the Bronx, after an illness of two years. He was born in New York City, September 29, 1926 son of Mrs. Elizabeth Salisbury Bradford Van Norden of the home address, and the late Maximilian Langdon Van Norden, founder of Van Norden and Archibald Co., New York spice importers. He studied a t Rye Country Day School, the Avon (Conn.) School, Williams College and the University of Denver. A veteran of World War II, he served as a Marine Corps private first class, aide to an admiral aboard the U. S. destroyer Los Angeles in the Far East. Surviving- in addition to his mother, is a sister Mrs. Elizabeth Ann McDuffie of New York and his grandmother, Mrs. Wage r Bradford of Palo Alto Calif.
