Martin C. Carey was born on September 12, 1924, in New York, his father, Thomas, was 40 and his mother, Kathleen, was 29. In Rye his family lived at 44 Meadow Place and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Martin was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1943.
Martin enlisted in the Army on August 19, 1943, in New York City, New York, during World War II. He was 18 years old.
Aftert the war he would go on to graduate from Niagra University. Martin Would marry June Gorgon on April 7, 1958. He worked many years for the New England Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Martin Charles Carey died on March 4, 1992, in Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 67, and was buried at the Long Island National Cemetery in East Farmingdale, New York.
