Mathew D Capri was born on March 26, 1914, to Jennie Riccio, age 42, and Antonio Capricuolo, age 37. In Rye his family lived at 71 High Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

He married Agnes Defazio in Port Chester, New York, on September 15, 1940, when he was 26 years old. They had four children during their marriage

Matthew enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mathew D Capri died on May 2, 1983, in Bellevue, Washington, when he was 69 years old.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife and by two sons, Don R. of Fairfield, Conn., and Matthew A. of Palo Verde, Calif.; two daughters, Jeanne C. Barker of Everett, Wash., and Joyce C. Kranda of Seattle
