Frank Gleason Grant

Frank Gleason Grant was born on September 13, 1915, in West Haven, Connecticut, to Helen E. Gleason, age 34, and Frank S. Grant, age 38. He was raised and educated in Cos Cob, CT. Frank earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Pace College. Prior
to the war he was with American Business
and Credit Corporation, New York
City, as accountant
and auditor.
In Rye he lived at 25 Purdy Ave.

Frank enlisted August 22, 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He served with the Army in the finance department for five years and held the rank of master sergeant.

After the war, Frank moved back to Cos Cob, CT, and lived there until 1982 when he moved to West Brighton. He worked for the Port Authority for 33 years, retiring in September as a senior financial analyst. He married Jean Stuart in January 1983.

Frank G. Grant, 68, of West Brighton, a retired financial analyst for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, died Tuesday October 18,1983 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center, apparently of a heart attack.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Jean Stuart Grant and two sisters, Helen. Danehy and Alice Duff.

The funeral mass was held in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, both West Brighton.
Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Castleton Corners.
