Herbert O MarableHerbert O Marable was born march 8, 1906 in Haverhill, Massachusetts, to Julia Lipscomb Marable, age 37, and Jesse L Marable, age 42. His father was a minister and he was raised and educated in Massachusetts and had three brothers and two sisters.
Herbert married Hattie Brown February 4, 1931 in Manhattan, NY. In Rye the couple lived at 40 Cedar Place.
He enlisted December 18, 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Herbert was honorably discharged September 24, 1945. After the war he worked as an insurance agent in New York City. Herbert also served as vice – president of the John Brown Club in Port Chester NY.
Herbert O Marable died December 18, 1987 at age 81.
