Robert J. McGrathRobert J. McGrath was born in Greenwich, CT on September 2f, 1918 to Michael McGrath and Sarah Glendon. He was raised and educated in Greenwich. He had two sisters and one brother and in Rye his family lived at 31 Purchase Street.
In 1940 he was working for the Norma – Hoffman Bearing Corp in Glenbrook, CT
Robert enlisted and served the in U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II.
After the war Robert stayed in the shipping industry and is listed as the Chief Purser on the SS Panama. From his mothers 1951 obituary he was living in Panama City.
Robert J. McGrath died June 24, 2002
