Charles married Ruth Gladys Lehmer Hardy on Septemer 24, 1938. The ceremony was performed in the Church of St. Mary, Hampton Bays, L. I.. The couple would have two children and in Rye his family lived at 142 Grandview Ave.

Charles Charles enlisted November 24,1942. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Charles was honorably discharged January 6,1945. After the war he continued with his banking career and was a member of the Manursing Island Club and Apawamis Club. The family moved to Greenwich CT in the 1960’s

Charles G Miller died on September 6, 1996, in Greenwich, Connecticut, at the age of 83, and was buried in New Britain, Connecticut.
