James Miner / Mainiero was born Oct 9, 1917 in Rye the son of Leonard and Susie Costanza Miner In Rye his family lived on 20 Richard Place and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. James had two sisters Gertrude and Lucy and two brothers Anthony and Thomas.

James enlisted November 27, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He would be honorably discharged February 20,1946

James married Catherine Urso February 27, 1943 at Resurrection Church and they would have two children. He was graduate of Pace College and the Academy of Advanced Traffic in New York City. James moved to Harrison in 1958 and was a member of SI Gregory the Great Church.

He was also a member of the Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, the New York Traffic Club and the Metropolitan Traffic Club.

James Vincent Miner of 59 Holland St Harrison a self employed account executive for several trucking lines died Saturday May 1, 1976 at his home. He was 58.

At the tome of his deathe, iIn addition to his mother, he was survived by his wife the former Catherine Urso of the home address a daughter Miss Gingy Miner also of the home address a son Jeffrey of Plantation Fla two sisters Mrs Jane Strecker and Mrs Gertrude Roth, both of Enfield and two brothers Anthony of White Plains and Thomas of Byram
