Patrick M. Miner

Pasquale (Patrick) Mainero was born January 26, 1911 in Rye, New York to Grace Russo and Antonio Mainero. He was raised and educated in Rye and He was a 1929 graduate of Rye High School. In Rye his family lived at 47 High St.

Before the war Patrick was working for Westchester Lighting Co in Port Chester. He enlisted in the Army on February 7,1941 for one year of service. Also, in 1941 Pasquale changed his name to Patrick M. Miner.

He married Miss Louise Ponty,Saturday December 13, 1941. The ceremony took place at St.

Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Port Chester, with the Rev. Frederick W. Grunst, the pastor, officiating. (His name was misspelled as Mainer in article and corrected in paper the next day)

When war was declared in December 1941, Patrick enlisted January 12, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged October 14, 1945

Patrick returned home and moved to Port Chester where he resumed his job at the Lighting Co. He and Louise had started a family and in 1950 had two sons. They were very active in community affairs in the Fifties and Sixties. In 1974 they left Port Chester and retired to Boca Raton, Florida where he was a member of Sandlefoot Cove Country Club

Patrick M. Miner. 70. of 22085 SW 66th Avenue, Boca Raton died March 28,1981 in Miami.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Louise; two sons Richard P. of New Canaan. CT; Robert P. of Rye, NY; two brothers Michael A. Mainero of West Palm Beach; Nicholas Mainero of Jupiter, FL; two sisters Lenora and Lucille Mainero both of Jupiter, FU one grandchild.

Memorial services were held at the R. JAY KRAEER BOCA RATON FUNERAL HOME 1353 North Federal Highway followed by cremation at the Kraeer Cat-Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Miami VA Hospital, National Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice.
