Thomas C. O’Brien

Thomas Chester O’Brien was born on April 12, 1927, in Bellerose, New York, his father, Thomas, was 26 and his mother, Theresa Dunne O’Brien, was 23. He had a brother Eugene and three sisters Marjorie, Karin and Mary. In Rye his family lived at 68 Elmwood Ave and they were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Thomas was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1945. He enlisted on October 9, 1944, when he was 17 years old and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He seved from October 9, 1944 until discharged on July 12, 1946.

He married Marie Honor Sullivan on May 23, 1953 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Floral Park, NY. They had six children during their marriage.

Thomas died on October 19, 2006, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 79.
