Frederic Carleton Peck was born on June 28, 1894, in New York City, New York, to Emma Jane Pratt, age 29, and George Farmer Peck, age 50. In Rye his family lived on Windcrest Road and were members of Christ’s Church.
Frederic was a graduate of Yale Sheffield, class of 1918. Immediately following he served as an ensign with the fledgling United States Navy Aero Corps during WWI. He then entered business with the family firm of Peck & Peck of New York and Chicago.
He married Edna Caldwell Hartley in May 1920 in Belmont, Massachusetts. They had three children during their marriage.
Frederick served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Lieut. Commander Frederick C. Peck, U.S.N.R. and Mrs. Peck of Windcrest Road, left yesterday for Boston. They will make a temporary home at the Ritz while Commander Peck is stationed in Boston. Enroute they left their daughter Miss Judy Peck, at Miss Porter’s School at Farmington, Conn.

Frederick served as treasurer, vice president, and president board directors, Peck & Peck, Inc., New York City, 1927-1955. From 1955, he served on board directors with the Chestnut Street Corporation, Forsyth Boulevard Corporation, Raymond Fulton Corporation, 48th Street-Park Avenue Corporation.
Frederic was listed as a noteworthy Retail chain executive by Marquis Who’s Who.
He was a member of Aviation Commandery Naval Order United States, Berzelius Club (Yale), Racquet and Tennis Club, Yale Club, Round Hill Club. M C.
Frederic Carleton Peck died on February 9, 1987, in Greenwich, Connecticut, at the age of 92.
