James V.. Ryan 
James V.. Ryan was born in Port Chester New York Decmber 29, 1918 to Annie and Michael Ryan. He had two brothers John and Francis and a sister Anna. In Rye his family lived at 15 School Street and wer members of the Church of the Resurrection. James was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1937. In high school he was active in sports playing basketball and baseball.
Before the war James married Theresa M Adelhardt in 1940 in New York, New York. At that time he was working at the Rye YMCA on Locust Ave. James enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
James V.. Ryan died May 7, 2015 in Florida at the age of 96 and is buried at the Florida National Cemetery
