Charles R. Sandell
Charles R Sandell was born on May 18, 1920, in Rye, New York, to Ellen Amanda Eriksson, age 38, and Nils R Sandell, age 49. He had a brother Nils and a sister Emily.
In Rye his family lived at 41 Locust Avenue and were members of the Presbyterian Church.
Charles attended Rye High School where he played football and ran track and was a Graduate of the Class of 1940.
After high school he was working for J H Thorpe & Company in NYC.
Charles enlisted and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He served for four years and spent 18 months in the South Pacific.
He married Alexandra L. Logocheti August 2, 1949 in Queens, NY. At the time he was the Packard School in New York.
Charles R Sandell died on May 27, 2003, in Queens, when he was 83 years old.
