Description

Harry K. Wall was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Gastonia, N.C. Beulah Hall and Hobson H Wall. He had a sister Betty and a brother Robert and in Rye his family lived at 31 Horton St and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Before the war, Harry was working as a concessionaire at Playland and was also a renowned welter weight boxer in the late 1930’s.

Harry enlisted in March 12, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

After his honorable discharge, Harry would move to Nevada and work in casinos as a dealer in Reno and Las Vegas. He married Eileen Keenan of Reno, NV , November, 9 1961. Harry retired as a manager in the gaming industry .

He and his wife moved to Bradenton, FL in 1996 from Astoria, OR. He was a member of American Legion Oneco Post 312, Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 18, Manasota Elks Lodge 2734 and the Eagles Lodge all in Manatee County.

Harry K. Wall, 82, Bradenton, died March 9, 2002.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife of 40 years, Eileen. Memorial services were held at a later date. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, South Chapel, was in charge.
