Frederick J Owens

Frederick Joseph Owens was born on January 22, 1910, in Rye, New York, to Evanel Ann Miller, age 30, and John Joseph Owens, age 34. He had a brother John and three sisters Agnes, Mary and Evanie.

In Rye his family lived at 72 Orchard Ave and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Frederick married Grace Louis in the 1930’s and he had two step children. He was working at Overly Farms in Purchase before the war.

Frederick enlisted October 15, 1942, when he was 32 years old, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He died on February 12, 1989, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 79, and was buried there.
