Ralph Parsons Gould was born on January 1, 1905, in Easthampton, Massachusetts, to Elnor Cordelia Parsons, age 30, and Loren Wilcox Gould, age 33. He was raised and educated in Easthampton and graduated from Easthampton High School. In Rye he was a relation to the Parsons family and served as a trustee of the Methodist Church.

Ralph enlisted and served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was stationed in Washington, D.
C., in the Military Personnel Division, Headquarters, Service of Supply

He married Jane C Carlisle on March 26, 1943, in Arlington, Virginia.

Ralph Parsons Gould died on July 28, 1978, in Carteret, North Carolina, at the age of 73, and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
