"Honor was paid the Rye man by a detachment of 50 Air Force comrades who came here for his funeral. They provided the pallbearers, an honor guard, firing squad and bugler from Westover Air Force Base.

The body was escorted from the William H. Graham Funeral Home to the Church of the Resurrection for the solemn requiem mass at 11 am. After the mass the military detachment marched in the funeral cortege to Greenwood Union Cemetery in the final mark of tribute."
