Daniel J. Colasanto

Daniel Joseph Colasanto was born on February 8, 1918, in Rye, New York, to Angelina Colasanto, age 29, and Rocco Colasanto, age 33.

He had four sisters Carmella, Jennie, Sylvia and Edith and two brothers Pasquale and Arthur.

In Rye his family lived at 15 High Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Daniel was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1938. In high school he played football, baseball and gold, and was a member of the Boxing Club and president of the Fingerprinting Club.

He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Daniel served five years in the Army and 18 months overseas. He was wounded in April 1945 and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.

After the war, Daniel married Felicia Mangini in Rye, New York, on April 28, 1946, when he was 28 years old. He was then working for the Remington Rand Corp in Bridgeport , Ct

Daniel Joseph Colasanto died on September 29, 2002, in Sun Valley, California, when he was 84 years old.
