George Egan

George Egan was born on September 13, 1911, in Port Chester, New York, to Elizabeth Malcolm McNaughton, age 24, and Thomas Patrick Egan, age 37. He had two sisters Elizabeth and Eleanor and a brother Robert. George was raised and educated in Port Chester and in Rye his family lived at 3 Riverside View.

George enlisted March 19, 1943, in New York City, New York, when he was 31 years old. and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged March 23, 1946

He married Victoria Guthrie Lynch in Harrison, New York, on June 2, 1944, and they had one daughter.

After the war, George and his family moved to Mamaroneck and he worked many years as a carpenter.

George Egan died on June 9, 1973, when he was 61 years old.
