James Claude Adams was born on August 29, 1922, in New London, Connecticut, to Claudia L Hazler and James A Adams. In Rye his family lived at 34 Meadow Place and James was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1940.
When he registered for the draft in August of 1942, he was a student at Colgate University. James enlisted February 27, 1943 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
James C. Adams Graduates From Army Radio School
James was honorably discharged March 24, 1946. He married Jeanne Marie McKeever on November 2, 1947, at St. Catherine’s Church in Riverside, Connecticut. The Rev. Joseph A. Ganley officiated and a reception at the Greenwich Country Club followed.
He worked for General Electric and retired chief financial-market analyst for the Company. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a member of the Quarterback Club.
James C. Adams, 76, of North Palm Beach, Fla died November 23, 1998 at Baptist Hospital East.
At the time of his death, survivors included his wife, the former Bernice Kinns; daughters Janice A. Bonham, Jyl A. LaVera and Susan Adams; a stepdaughter, Karen E. Christie; and eight grandchildren.
