Description

David W. Anderson was born on May 24, 1932 in Port Chester, New York. His family moved to Rye in 1940. He lived on New Street and attended Rye High School where he graduated in 1950. He lived in his house on New Street with his father Andrew, his mother Dorothy, his grandfather Harry, his aunt Catherine, as well as his younger siblings, Richard and Joan. On December 7, 1952, his father Lionel Andrew Anderson passed away of heart disease. After his father died, his aunt helped to support the family by working as a dental assistant. During the Korean War, David served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Riverside, Connecticut where he met and married his wife, Carol Turturino on July 30, 1960. He passed away on July 14, 2016.

Anderson, David “Chicky”

David “Chicky” Anderson of Riverside, died July 14, 2016 at age 84. Chicky was a retired United States Postal Worker for the city of Rye. He was also a veteran of the army serving in the Korean Conflict. Husband of Carol (nee Turturino) brother of Joan Brennan, James J. Anderson and the late Richard Anderson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church Entombment will be private.
