Robert H. Jennings, son of Police Sergeant William Jennings, and Mrs. Jennings, 641 Milton Road, left this week for the U. S Coast Guard Training Station at Manhattan Beach. Before entering the service, he was tendered a party by members of the family at his home.

Robert was honorably discharged November 16, 1945.

After the war, he returned home to Rye. For many years he worked as a welder at Macton Engineering in Port Chester, NY. In 1948, he was married to his wife Berneda and they two children.

Robert Haley Jennings died September 30, 2000 in Sarasota, FL.
