Description
Robert C. Leverich November 2, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Cameron and Catherine McLarney Leverich. In Rye, along with his brother Donald, his family lived at 8 Morehead Dr. and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.
Robert was a graduate of Pelham High School and the University of Virginia and it’s Law School and was a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Robert served as a Captain in the Army and served as an Instructor while based in Fort Benning, Georgia
He married Constance Irene “Nancy” Valadon on August 25, 1944, in Pelham, New York. They had five children during their marriage.
After the war Robert worked for Merrill Lych and would become a vice president.
An avid golfer he was a member of Pine Valley Country Club and President of Woodway Country Club.
Robert C. Leverich died on August 10, 1977, in Darien, Connecticut, at the age of 59.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Constance “Nancy (Valadon), a son Robert. Jr. of Chatham, NJ and four daughters Wendy Feighery of Bethel, CT, Kathleen of Somerville, Deborah MacFadden of Ridgefield. CT., Mary of Jackson, WY and 7 grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass was held at St Catherine’s Church in Riversode CT.
