John James O’ConnorJohn “Jack” O’Connor was born on February 12, 1909, in Manhattan, New York, to Ellen Sheridan, age 34, and George O’Connor, age 36. He had two brothers George and Thomas and two sisters Mary and Anna.
In Rye his family lived 19 Everett St. and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. John enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Lillian Wellner October 21, 1933 and they had one son. Before the war, Jack worked for the Postal Service.

Per the 1950 census Jack , Lillian and son John were living on Everett Street in Rye.
Lillian was working for the telephone company and Jack was working as a bus driver.
