Pfc. Paul W. Myers in Japan With I I th Airborne Division

Pfc. Paul W. Myers, 19, of Rye, is now serving with the Eleventh Airborne Division in Sendai, Japan. He has been with the Division for the past three months. After completing his basic training he volunteered for the paratroops. Taking his jump training at Fort Benning, Ga. , he qualified as a parachutist on March 2, 1945 by making the required number of jumps from a plane in flight. At present he is performing M. P. duties in his Division. After he is discharged from service he plans to go to college. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter P. Myers, reside at Hillside Road, Rye.

My dad's actual Birthday is Oct. 12th, 1928.. Not 1927. My dad went into the Army at barely 15, I know he lied about his age to Fight for America 🇺🇸
My Uncle John Perry Myers was born in 1927. He was 16,  Navy Submarines. I miss them both.. They don't make men like this anymore.
